The Meridian Grand is a luxury wedding and event venue with capacity for over 800 guests.
Originally two warehouses, the building comprises a main hall that could be split in two, with each area having a kitchen capable of catering for 400 guests. In addition to the kitchens, there is one central dishwash system, plus a central bulk-storage and preparation area to one end. The kitchens, the related areas, and two bars were all by GLS.
We also designed the ventilation system (which was configured around situations where either one or both of the kitchens were in use) and bulk refrigeration comprising a triple-compartment complex containing two walk-in coldrooms and a walk-in freezer.
